OxTrack
OxTrack is a ground-breaking assessment system designed to measure, record, track, and support the professional growth of teachers.
OxTrack follows and records the professional growth and development of teachers through a series of assessments. It benefits from over 20 years of research at the University of Oxford, and extensive empirical studies conducted in a wide range of countries. Our goal is to empower educators by providing them with clear insights into their cognitive and applied knowledge, and to support their professional development through carefully mediated personalised feedback.
The assessments run on a user-friendly APP, that provides immediate results, entirely private to each teacher.

How OxTrack Works
Teacher knowledge of Learning and Learners, Teaching and Classroom Context, Assessment and Feedback, and Data and Student Progression is probed in increasing depth in each of 4 assessments.
All together, OxTrack shows teachers their professional strengths across 48 domains of knowledge.
OxTrack profiles individual teacher development in two ways:
-
Vertical – by analysing increasingly complex forms of professional thinking and application from one assessment to the next.
-
Horizontal - by tracking the depth of pedagogical reasoning within each assessment.

Assess
OxTrack’s assessments measure the teacher’s rate of progress towards the most advanced levels of competence and proficiency. While the core knowledge domains assessed remain constant across all four assessments, the questions become increasingly sophisticated, requiring deeper levels of understanding and application.
Track
Each teacher receives a personal record of their performance, including an achievement level that reflects their current expertise.
Grow
Based on assessment results, teachers receive an individualised skills growth plan, providing targeted recommendations to support their professional learning journey. The teacher is then paired with an AI Tutor that sets practical tasks and exercises to help teachers improve their understanding.

Social Impact
OxTrack offers policymakers, schools, and research institutions fine-grained data of teacher professional capabilities.
The tool allows them to track professional growth and progress locally or nationally.
OxTrack Reports, unique to each teacher, provide an invaluable corpus of data to support pre-service and in-service teacher training. Training is needs-driven, relevant, and cost effective.
OxTrack is currently being piloted on 60,000 teachers in three states in Nigeria and 1,000 teachers in private schools in Kenya.
The evidence shows that teachers are highly motivated by their individual profiles and encouraged by the opportunity to compare their performance to that of others.
The end result is teachers who are highly aware of their own abilities, administrators who manage systems better, and improved learning outcomes for learners.
